Western saddle so I get it. I'd be squished between the back and the horn...hmmm actually that could be fun lolol.

We do weight limits for each horse quite often here, but english saddles are more forgiving for the rider, I guess.

Well...except the ones that chafe in just the wrong place. ;P But that doesn't seem to be a size issue, more a shape of saddle issue.

Oh I agree. If they were english saddles definitely more wiggle room. I've ridden both and prefer english but western seems the norm for

group trails like this bc people can hold on easier. Even though you aren't actually supposed to hold on like that!

True, I see people using western for trail rides here as well. Closest I've gotten is an Icelandic saddle, they have some similar features, though not the high back and front.
