decided to visit the other. He had heard he was back and wanted to harass- ... talk with the other.
walking through through the streets of Berlin
spotted him and smirked before falling into step behind him, though still enough away that he didn't seem creepy.
could feel the hairs on the back of his neck tingle, as though someone was following him, but he didn't give it a second thought.
slowly started to walk closer towards him, enjoying praying on the other.
took a left turn on to the last street that would take him and the dogs home. He was already starting to sort the days plan out in his head, and would make a list of it as soon as he got in again
found an apple on the ground and threw it at his head after he turned the corner as well, before hiding behind a wall.
felt the apple crack against the back of his skull and staggered a step forward. The dogs were looking up at him questioningly as he swivelled around to shout "Wer ist da?!" at whoever threw it.
couldn't help but laugh, and badly tried to hide it to remain hidden. It was just too funny to hear the German laugh though.
heard the laugh coming from around the corner he had just turned. Pulling on the leads he murmered a quick "kommen" as he walked briskley towards the sound, a scowl on his face. That laugh sounded too familiar.
continued to laugh even as the other turned the corner, and he simply just wiped his eyes. "That was priceless. I wish I recorded it."
continued to scowl at the Dane who was laughing in his face. "Would you stop laughing, you complete and utter Arschloch"
smiled innocently as he rubbed his eyes lightly to ry off the tears. "Oh come on, have a sense of humour for once."
"You're *'for once'* implies that it's most likely I won't have a sense of humour, so you're contradicting yourself in that sentence alone."
rolled his eyes. "Ye don't change, do ye? Ye've been gone for quite a while and ye're still like this."
raised an eyebrow at the Dane. "You say that like you expected me to change."
shrugs a little. "Ye could laugh more. But that wouldn't be too German."
kept his gaze steady. "You just threw an apple at the back of my head, Dummkopf, why would I be laughing at that?"
shrugs again. "It's a pretty funny thing. At least for me." He smile again and waved it off. "Wanna drink?"
looked down at the dogs, who were still obediently sat by his side. "I have a list a mile long of things I need to do today, Søren, what makes you think I'd have enough time to go for a drink?"
hummed and crouched down to pet the dogs. "Everyone needs a break from work. Why do ye think I'm here? Drinks are cheaper than back home."
only just managed to stop himself from snerking at the Dane, and hoped that his expression had remained passive. Showing Søren a smile now would only lead to him continuing to nag about drinks. "That's because
you have to tax everything. It's your own fault"
shrugged as he messed with the dogs hair and kept on smiling. "It's still the best place to live. So beat that~"
shakes his head. "For you, maybe. For me? It's too noisy. Too many youths running around and behaving like children. You included"
chuckles and got up, patting the dogs lightly. "What can I say? I'm the youth of the world." Even if he was the oldest kingdom. "Come on, let's go to a bar. Ye know ye wanna."
sighs and eyes Søren sternly. "It's barely even past two pm and you want to go drinking? You must be out of your mind"
just smiled widely at that. "Hey, it's 5pm somewhere in the world."
sighs again, shoulders slouching in defeat. "There really is no chance that you'll stop bugging me without me going drinking with you, is there?"
shakes his head. "Nej. Now let's get these guys home before we have some fun." He continued to pet them lightly, liking animals.
rolled his eyes. "Sure, whatever I need to do to get you off my back."
smiled and started walking to the German's house. "Want me to take one of the dogs for ye?"
offered one of the leads to the Dane. "Sure, as long as you don't go running off or anything!"
... smirked evilly before whisling to the dog and started running.
groaned to himself. He should've known better than to give the man ideas. He picked up his pace and followed after the man, borderlining on running tempo. No way he was going to run though, he didn't
want to look like an idiot in public or anything. At least he had some sense of public decency.
having fun, and liked messing with the other. He needed a run anyways, since he wasn't always a morning person. He got to the others house quickly though and played with the dog until the other caught up. He
might have been rolling around in the grass with him though.
rolled his eyes at the sight of the Dane and one of his dogs rolling around on the ground together. "You're just like one of them, Søren. Maybe I should lock you away in a kennel some time too, god knows you'd
learn a thing or too from it"
let the dog go to run up to the German while sitting up and brushing some grass out of his hair. "Ye'd like that, wouldn't ye? But no one can contain me. I'm too wild~" He couldn't help but joke as he got up.
knelt down as his dog came running towards him, and petted it calmly on the hed as he got a hold of the leash, holding it together with the other two. "I bet if I got a couple of my friends together, we'd be
able to keep you down, Søren. Think Berwald would want to hel?" he asked as he unlocked his front door, leaving it open behind him as an invitation for the Dane to follow.
took that invitation and sauntered his way in. "Ha, he'd love to help. But I still don't think anyone could keep me down."
let the dogs off the leashes and turned to face the Dane. "You only think that because your ego is the size of Texas State" he said, grabbing his wallet off the table by the door. "Where are you dragging me off
shrugs and continued to play with the dogs. "I don't have a big ego. But America does. And take me wherever's good. I'm sure ye know the best."
"I figured you would have had some sort of plan, seeing as you were the one to coerce me into this."
chuckles at that. "Well, I know a few. But I never really plan these things out. I just wanna go. So lead the way potato head~"
huffed in a defeated manner. "Sure, just don't call me that again, or next thing you know you'll be at the bottom of the Donau" he deadpanned, before leading the Dane to the nearest pub. The sooner this was
over, the sooner he could get back to that list that he'd been mentally making before Søren had so rudely interrupted.
followed him slow. "Ooo. Low blow." He kept by his side, matching his stride step for step.
scowled again. "Remind me again why I even talk to you"
smirks and ruffled his hair a bit. "'Cause ye took my land years ago and I gotta check up on ye. Also, ye should respect yer elders."
shot the Dane a glare and ran a hand through his hair after the ruffle, to make sure that it was still sat where it should be. "Maybe I should, but just because you're older, doesn't mean you're more mature"
stuck his tongue out. "I'm more mature than all of ye. Don't even try that with me."
snorts. "You are saying that right after sticking you're tongue out at me. I think that would be contradicting your own actions, don't you think?"
shakes his head. "Nej, I just like havin' fun. Ye wouldn't know anythin' 'bout that though, would ye?"
looked over at the other. "As you said earlier, I haven't changed. So what do you think?"
shrugs. "I guess it works. Ye should loosen up. Maybe I'll get ye shitfaced tonight~"
scowled again. "I did have plans before you decided to show your face. I can't even believe I let you talk me in to going drinking with you"
poked him lightly. "Come on. Ye know ye wanna drink. It's fun~ And ye can do work later tonight."
grunted, annoyed at the poke. "But doing it later means I won't be able to do the things that I had planned on doing later."
shrugs. "Ye'll have fun with me~ That's better than work! Work is borin'."
"maybe it is, but it still needs doing"
smirks. "I could help if ye want~" He liked to help people. Even if he wasn't good at it.
snorted at the Dane. "What, and I have to do it all over again because you slack off half way through because you got too tired or bored?"
pouts. "I don't slack off. I just have fun with my work. So what if there's little drawin's on them, I still get it doooone."
shakes his head. "And that is exactly why I don't want your help... We're here" he said, stopping outside the pub, "let's just get this over and done with"
continued to smile happily as he walked into the bar and looked around. Ahhh~ Such a German feel to it. No surprise. He looked around before finding a spot for them to sit, up near the bar counter.
"You need to stop smiling like that. People are either going to think you're insane, or that you're already drunk. Either way, they won't sell you beer"
sighed. "I'd just get someone else to get it for me then. Besides, I can't help that I'm happy all the time. Now, what do ye recommend?"
rolled his eyes at how typical the others answer was. "It all depends on your taste really, but personally, I prefer the classic Bitburger"
nodded and asked for one, watching the bartender move. He'd be dangerous if he was ever allowed to be behind the bar.
ordered one as well, opening a tab just in case. He knew there was a good chance that the Dane would have forgotten his European currency, and therefor would be begging him to pay.
would have slapped the other if he knew that. He always came prepared. He just didn't like paying if he din't have to, but he'd never beg. Danes never begge.
would probably have laughed in the others face if he knew what the other was thinking... He took a sip of the bitter beverage, watching as the Dane followed the barman with his eyes. "Ever tried?" he asked.
nods. "Ja. A few times. Never got too involved with it though." He mostly did it to meet people and help them with their problems, or at least tried to. He was always someone to talk to, since he'd always
nodded, leaning forward on the bar. "Why not? -- Get involved, that is?"
shrugs. "I didn't wanna get too comfortable. Ja, it's fun meetin' people and talkin', but it's hard to work a night job bartendin' then gettin' up early to go to the office or world meetin's. And there's the
fact that I'd be takin' someone elses job when they could use the money more than I."
glanced over at the other, an eyebrow raised in surprise. "Never knew you'd care so much"
chuckles. "Ye kiddin'? My people mean everythin' to me. Without them, I'd be nothin'."
nodded along. "you and me both"
smiles as he sipped his beer, glad the other wasn't totally taken over by his work.
didn't notice the smile, instead watching the barman. "I've never done it myself, not really... bartending. I mean, I can pull a decent beer, but all that juggling of bottles?" he shook his head and took
another sip of his beer, "nah, it's not really my thing"
laughs at that. "I would mix up on some of the mixes. I was just lucky that in Denmark people prefer beer."
chuckles, slightly surprised. "Really? I would've thought that your kids would've loved all those ridiculously colourful cocktails with the silly names that should never have made it to paper"
snickered at that. "Ja, I did get a few. They were fun to say, and fun to make. But beer was generally the cheapest, so most stuck to that."
"Understandable, never had a taste for the sweeteness of the drinks anyway. There really isn't anything that can beat the taste of a good cold beer on a hot summers day"
licked his lips at that. "Ja. I have a mean sweet tooth, but beer is always my comfort drink."
nodded, silently agreeing. He took another deep drink of the beer and smacked his lips, lifting his hand to wipe away some of the froth that clung to the corner of his mouth.
tilted his glass back to finish off the rest of his beer, smiling once he put the empty glass down. He like drinking with others.
used to think of himself as a pretty decent drinker, but that was before he had met the Dane, who would probably drain the entire bar of beer if he wanted to. "Another?"
would love to take on that challenge, but he'd feel bad for the bar. He'd bar hop just so he' not drink a bar dry. "Ja, always. When I leave I don't wanna be able to walk straight."
chuckled at the other. "As you wish" he said, before turning to the barman and ordering another round and drained the last few dregs of his first.
leaned against the counter, smirking a bit at hearing the other chuckle. It always seemed like an accomplishment when he could do that.
murmered a quick "danke" at the barman when he returned with their beers, and pushed the second one over to the Dane. He noticed the smirk on the others lips, and his eyebrows furrowed, puzzled at what the
cause of it could be. "Why are you smirking suddenly? What's so funny?"
took a quick sip from his beer. "S'for makin' ye chuckle. It's a rarity ye know."
eyes furrowed again as he stared down at his beer. "Not that much"
smirked and nudged his arm lightly. "For most it is. I just know how to get it outta ye. And I take pride in that~"
turned to look at the other again. "Whatever you say, Søren" he said with a small smile, before taking another long dreg of the beer, feeling the warmth of the alcohol run down his throat
looked down into his glass before taking a long chug. He wondered how drunk the other would get tonight.
wondered to himself when he'd stopped protesting against the Danes suggestions to get drunk. Now that he was here, he was actually enjoying himself, but that could just have been the alchohol getting to him
didn't think there was a difference. As long as he was happy, that's what mattered~
