I think it depends on what style you use? I might be wrong though
by default, that's how posts on dw are
Go here: www.dreamwidth.org/custo... under Presentation > Additional Options you can scroll down to: Place of Icons in Entries and Comments and you have the options of right, left, or off

You could alternatively turn off custom comment pages

It'd display more like the old default LJ pages but a bit more narrow

And I'll probably be keeping my angel beats mass deck on LJ... only cause dreamwidth makes it look stupid and I'm not making it look nice lol

Leaving logs post, mastery posts and angel beats mass deck on LJ though
Mastery and Angel beats only cause DW cuts off after 8 cards and I like my 10 card per row
