like what if you don't have the L to go at the beginning like me? LOL
actually the benefit of going the first day or at least the first week is that doubles/unwanted things usually resell easily and for full price in the beginning 
or you don't like crashing so much you end up not being able to buy anything anyway

i avoid events at the beginning because i don't find fighting the lag fun. but i get that initial desire of "oh thing i want, i want you NOW"
