peeked over from his arm to take a better look as he was slightly covering it. " ...This town is really nice."

nods. "It seems far enough from all the action too... we should be safe here."

looked behind her, not even sure how long they have travelled anymore but it was far enough for her to not recall the complete way back. " Ja. What should we do first?"

shrugs. "Find a place, I guess... I could really use a shower, and proper sleep."

blinks, " I can see if we can purchase some land and such at the Mayor's office. They usually deal with property there."

ran a hand through his hair. "I don't have any money..."

smiles, " I have a way." She went towards the building where the office was located.

frowned and followed her, only having a bit of a limp.

kept him stable as she went there. Her injuries had been healed by then as she went to have a brief talk with the mayor who seemed to be present.

stayed quiet and just stayed near her.

gestured to him as the mayor welcomed them warmly. She reached around her own neck and undid the clasp of the locket she had been wearing. It was a family heirloom but she figured it was better used to pay_

_ for the an abandoned farm because of the gold, diamonds and jewels on it that could be put to better use.

didn't think she'd have to sacrifice that much...

thought it was worth shedding her identity. She figured it was worth more than the price of the farm and could help in renovating it too.

wasn't fully against it... mostly because he really enjoyed living on a farm.

seemed hesitant letting go of the trinket because it meant so much importance to her but she sacrificed it for her future along with his. " Sign the documents and_

_ we'll be able to stay at the inn until renovations are done." She put them in his name rather than her own to avoid attracting attention.

still wasn't sure with signing them because of how she paid for it...

nudged him lightly as she looked to him, " I'll be fine don't worry. Consider it an investment for the future." She smiled warmly to him after.

nods a bit before signing it.

smiles before the mayor went to make a few calls to have a room prepared for them.

just wanted a nice bath to soak his muscles now... the idea of being safe was starting to settle in now.

went to prepare a good bath for him once they got to the inn. She asked for some herbs and flowers to help him relax while he soaked in the bath.

just really wanted to rest. His body felt like it had been pushed the last few days and now it was all coming back at him.

would do whatever she could to help him despite being worn out herself.

wanted her to rest and sleep so she didn't strain herself.

eventually did rest but seeing as there was one bed, she tried to make herself as small as usual so he would have more room.

just finished everything he was doing before going to sleep, thinking the bed was bigger than any other they've shared before.

did notice it was a bit bigger. She had become so accustomed over the days to give people the excuse that they were a couple or along the lines of that to avoid suspicion.

yawned before lying down and getting comfortable. He was glad to be safe.

thought so too. There would be more to do the following day seeing she wanted to see the farm in person and start tending to the fields so she could plant some herbs.

wouldn't mind joining her. He could help with getting the fields set and other labour.

figured it was better to hep him out first before herself.

doesn't see why since they're working for the same thing.

did want to open a clinic to help people but she wanted to prioritize the farm first so they could have some income.

thought they could do some medical work to avoid having to pay at first.

could do it on the side on some days. She needed a lot of medical equipment and such to run a clinic and that would take days to order and a stable income to start.

thought they could at least work in a small clinic here, and use their supplies. It'd be a semi-job for her at least.

would go check it out the next day. She wanted to get the stuff for the farm straightened out first.

started to sleep peacefully for once. There was no sounds of war that could be heard which put her at ease.

slept without issue easily.

stayed curled up against him until early in the morning where she woke up.

woke up just before her, sighing quietly.

sat up as she yawn a bit, noting that the bed was comfy and almost wanted to go back to sleep. " Is there anything you would like for breakfast?"

shakes his head as he got up. "Nee... I need to get ready."

frowns and nods, " I'll see if the Inn keeper has anything made yet." She went to wash up and get changed after.

nodded as he got ready, wanting to work as soon as possibl.e

thought they would have to get some tools and seeds and such from the general store.

went to go there after he was ready. He was taking his time though.

went to find him after she found some pastries and stuff for him to eat.

blinked. "... You didn't have to you know."

smiles as she handed him the package, " I don't want you to starve or forget to eat."

nods as he took it. "I'll eat it once we start working."

flicked his head as she put some money into his hand, " At least you should have something to pay for what you're getting."

frowns. "I was just going to get an IOU from them..."

shook her head, " It's better not to start in debt."

nods. "I'll just go get some supplies to help us in the room for now..."

smiles, " We'll head to the farm after. I made an order for a couple chickens on the way here. It'll be easier to have some sort of income while we wait for the plants to grow."

thought that was a good idea. "Let's go then." He put on his jacket before heading out.

stayed beside him as she followed. " As for the rest of the funds, they go to you to spend. I'll figure a way to make money myself from the shipping and such."

shrugs. "I don't need a lot. Just seeds for the fields. I'm not a spender."

nods, " You seem to be better with money than I am.'

hid it in his jacket. "Then I'll keep hold of it."

nods again as she sort of lead the way to the farm. It was a lot nicer than she had expected with just the house being renovated to be liveable.

didn't think things would come down to this... he still planned to find his sister once the war was over.

didn't know how long the war was going to take but she would help him when the oppertunity came around.

couldn't wait for that... if he wasn't a criminal now he'd look for her.

wondered if there was a description he could give of his sister. She can try looking in her spare time.

knew she had blonde hair, and a cat like smile..

guessed that was pretty vague.

didn't know what else he could say. He just always knew his sister from her smile.

figured they'll have to put the search on hold until it was safe for them.

didn't know how long he could just stand around and look for her..

could look after the farm when things were settled down.

wouldn't mind that. He looked around, not knowing where to start.

guessed the best lead would be the last place he had seen his sister.

didn't even remember...

thought that was going to be difficult but she would do her best to help.

thought for now the best thing to do would be to just work on getting money..

thought that was the best decision. She went to talk to the person doing the renovations about the completion. Turns out it was in a couple days they would legitimately have a home.

wouldn't mind helping and doing hard work himself. He'd feel useful then.

wanted to help too. She checked out the chicken coop that had been restored the previous night and started to prepare that for the chickens arriving later in the day.

just went to help with restoring the house, working as hard as he could.

started working on the fields since she thought some fast growing herbs would make a good start since she knew this town needed some cheap medicines from talking to the inn keeper.

just worked on the foundation of the house, wanting to make sure it was sturdy.

continue to work until it was late in the afternoon.

continued even still, wanting to get the foundation set securely.

went to make some lunch after seeing how hard he was working.

felt that time flies, and he had lost track of what was even going on. To him it felt like mid day.

set up a picnic table as she made a lot of food with some help from the Inn Keeper. They were for the workers and him as well.

let the others go eat while he continued to work.

stood in his way as she huffed a bit, " Food first. Work after."

made a quiet sound and looked up to her. "I'm almost done..

took both of his hands and started to drag him to the sink. " No buts about it. I don't want you passing out on me and then we'll have a problem on our hands."

sighed quietly and followed her, going to wash his hands. He guessed a break was okay...

kissed his cheek lightly after, " Just behave a bit for me okay?" She smiles going to help serve the food after washing her own hands.

blushed and pouted before obeying her. He got cleaned up and headed for food after.

seemed glad that he listened. She made sure there was more than enough food before sitting down under a tree to watch the farm as she ate. There wasn't enough space for everyone at the picnic table.

took his food and went to sit by a calm quiet area on his own.

looked up as she sort of wanted to join him but stayed seated and finished her food. She figured he would have wanted some peace and she went back to working after.

did want some time to himself. He hadn't been on his own in a while, so now he was finally able to relax and breathe.

tended quietly to the herb garden as she worked by herself. She wondered quietly to herself as she worked, thinking about many different things.

could only think about his sister and the wars effect on her...

could take care of the farm so he could search for her once things were done.

still wanted to seeing how she dragged him into this mess.

figured a rich family that had a lot of political power and influence could be part of that. There had been a lot of turmoil before but she was a medical student at that time.

still thought it was a bit of a stretch for her to put the blame on herself and family.

figured it was easier for people to blame her than for what her family was forced to do to escape.

wondered why it was easier to blame her?

found that people had a tendency to avoid responsibility and liked to blame others. It was human nature after all.

still didn't see what made her so vulnerable.

just went along with it. She didn't think there was a point contemplating about it when she had her hands full with helping the farm out.

guessed that was true. He finished off his food and tried to rest after.

found him eventually as she was cleaning up for the day. " If there's anything you need me for, I'll be at the inn. If you're not back by dinner time, I'm going to drag you back okay?"

nods a bit. "Ja. I'm just going to work a bit more on the house."

smiles, leaving yet another playful kiss on his cheek before heading back. She wasn't exactly sure why she did that but she kind of felt like she wouldn't see him again for some reason...

blushed at that and looked down as he continued to rest.

went back to help with the Inn keeper in the meantime.

stopped relaxing after a bit and went to work on the house again.

went to make dinner after wondering to herself about the last time she had done this for someone else. It was really rare.

wasn't used to someone certain making dinner for him. He had to do most of the cooking for himself and his sister.

starting to be curious of what his sister was like since he mentioned her often. She also wondered if he was just going to leave once he found his sibling...

didn't know... he had no idea what condition his old shelter was in, but he knew this house was better..

wouldn't stop him seeing that she wasn't that important. She figured family and one's own home was always more important than anything else.

had no idea of the outcome though. He didn't want to leave here and go to nothing.

didn't think it was nothing if he tried to make something of it. She thought that the first place to look was at his old home.

...couldn't guarantee that it would end anytime soon. She sighed, zoning out a in thought and stupidly cut her hand with a small knife. She gave another sigh as she went to treat it.

knew there was no guarantee of when it would end. He just hoped it was soon.

doubted it was soon but rather the beginning. Things seemed worse during the time she stayed around the different camps. She went to help serve up the food, seeing as it was getting later.

frowns as she sat quietly in the room with the food laid out and glanced to the clock from time to time. It was late but she wanted to believe in his word.

went to clean up not long after and washed his hands before going to eat.

looked outside of the Inn, seeing that it was dark. She retrieved her coat to head towards the farm to find him after, obviously worried for him.

almost walked into her when she opened the door, considering he was right outside it.

made a sound as she stared at him. She looked absolutely worried at first but moved aside for him. " I'll go heat up the food..." She gave an awkward smile after as she took the plates to bring to the kitchen.

frowned a bit. "Sorry I'm late... I just wanted to finish."

shook her head as she tried to not seem bothered and mentally reasoned herself. " It's okay." She hurried to the kitchen to warm it up. She hadn't eaten either and her stomach had been growling a bit.

got comfortable as he waited for her.

served up the food now that it was heated up. " It might not be as good as before...sorry." She chewed her lip as she sat down at the table.

shakes his head as he took it. "I'm sure it's great. Anything is better than what I had at the camp..."

nods and waited for him to eat before she did. She was worried that he would be hungry and made sure to give more to him than herself.

ate all he could and had some extra, so he held it out for her.

looked up from her plate as she blinked to him. " Are you done eating?" She hadn't really ate much of her food in case he didn't have enough.

nodded. "I've had all I can..."

took the extras and finished that as well as her own plate. She tried to keep her eyes down as she was embarrassed at her own hunger.

thought she needed more food for energy anyways, since she was working in the fields.

didn't want to get fat and draw other people's attention. She quietly clean up after, " I'll go prepare the bath for you as well."

shakes his head. "I just want to sleep tonight..."

blinks as she stopped mid-stride. " Are you sure?" She frowned after.

nodded. "If I have a bath I'll fall asleep, and it makes sense to just sleep now."

nods as she was fiddling the bandage on her hand. " Okay then." She went to go wash up after.

got up and headed to the bedroom. He figured she could bathe and relax herself.

figured she would stay out of his affairs and give him room. She took her time, doing a lot of thinking as she went to the bedroom after to sleep once she was done her bath.

got to his side of the bed and was fast asleep moments within laying down.

blinks when she got there and sighed to herself. She quietly climbed over him so she could reach her side of the bed that was against the wall.

stayed fully asleep, clearly drained from the days events.

watched him for a bit, reaching over and brushing the hair from his face. She kept her thoughts to herself as she smiled, " Godnat." She stated quietly before curling up against him out of habit and sleeping.

mumbled quietly as he shifted more into the pillow. "Goednacht..."

reddened slightly when she heard that and just curled up more comfortably against him. She wondered if she was overthinking some things but decided to think about them another day.

lightly put his arm around her to keep her warm.

continued to sleep peacefully, reassured by that.

fell asleep quickly, exhausted because of all this.

slept until the following morning, stirring a little after the sunrise.

on his back, breathing quietly.

blinked as she looked at him, smiling sheepishly as she whispered confession in Danish to him before getting up. "I want to be able to tell you that I like you one day."

mumbled quietly as he started to wake up from that.

starting to climb over him to reach the edge of the bed. She didn't know he was waking up.

mumbled a bit more as he opened his eyes sleepily. "You can just ask me to move, you know."

froze as she stared down at him awkwardly since she was ontop. She grew flustered as she was worried about if he had heard what she had said earlier and jumbled up her own words.

didn't, sadly... He was just waking up.

shifted off of him quickly afterwards, " I'll go get ready and make breakfast." She wasn't sure still but she figured it was better to not embarrass herself.

nodded and sat up, streatching after. He yawned before washing up and getting ready for breakfast.

went to the kitchen to help with the Inn Keeper that was making food.

wondered if they needed help?

didn't think so as she served up the food. " Eat up. We have a lot to do today."

nodded and sat down, eating instantly.

smiles and cleaned up a but before sitting down next to him to eat.

found the food was good, as normal.

thought that was good to know. She finished up her food and went to get ready after.

finished soon after, glad to have a strong meal to start the day with.

came by to clean up after. " I'm going to the neighbouring village to pick up the shipment I ordered."

nods at that. "Want me to come?"

shook her head. " The farm needs you and I'll be back by midday. Don't forget to eat okay?" She handed him his lunch.

took it and nodded. "Dank u..." He got up and left for the farm after.

started to head to the next town over. It was a little close to a Laurasian camp but still far enough that no soldiers would be present.

had his faith in her that she'd be okay.

would promise that she would be fine.

believed her in that and went to work.
