ummm... *shily* what's PAB?
Podcasters Across Borders...it's the NME of Canada..
Ask them if the MP3 download link is CLEARLY marked on their website.
Ask them if there's a pop-up player on the site (that does NOT start immediately when you open the page)
Are they putting their website in the lyrics portion of their mp3 file?
Ask them if they have any other way to listen than

iTunes
Oooh! Oooh! Another one!.... Do they supply transcripts of their shows on the website?
ask them how do they come up with topics. If they interview how do they get the interviewee to talk.
excellent ideas... keep 'em coming!
Are the ID3 tags consistent from show to show?
LEMills I could never do transcripts, I do do show notes though
Oh: Do they fully use the ID3 information to make it easier for listeners to figure out what they are listening to
daphne - Good! With plenty of links, I hope. Chris Penn has someone transcribe for him at embarrasingly low cost somewhere.
How do you keep a consistent level of volume from show to show?
lemills if Chris Penn is "out-sourcing" his transcripts?
How to they track their download numbers?
Yes. Phillipines, I think. Or maybe it's not Chris, maybe it's Julien.
Does the MP3 filename include a show name and date/episode number and not just a name like "episode43.mp3" GRRRRR... I hate that.
bpende - AMEN! And there are three lines to enter, right? And they really all should be different....
(how much time do you have, Andy?)
(You could just link to this plurk page!)
Do the PodCasters listen to their own show... BEFORE THEY POST IT... to look for blanks spaces, missed edits, weird noises... etc...
do you remember to turn off your alerts and pings-ers and all that horrible ambient computer noise when you do a show?
hearing Skype pings when they're not hers!
Do the PodCasters open their mp3 file in any other player BEFORE THEY POST it to make sure that all their entered ID3 information shows up?
Heck, I'd even ask why they use iTunes at all, but that's just my early-adopter bias....
Ask - why put "daily" in the title of the show when it's not posted every day?
Ask- Why say that you answer every single e-mail you get, when you don't?
lemills ... I still use my mp3 player on my Treo to play the PodCasts I've downloaded using Juice.
would ask if they're having fun with their podcast.
Ask - How do you know that you're the best show of its kind out there when you say on the show that you have no time to listen to others!
bucketjen ... oh c'mon, we were having fun complaining... that's a good question, though.
Ooh! Oooh! You could ask them what they do to schedule vacation time for themselves? pre-recording, or best of shows?
But
bucketjen's question IS important - it's all about the passion, you know!
it's the most important question of all. The rest follows from there.
Ask - Does your stats report show the difference between someone downloading a kilobyte of a show compared to downloading the whole thing?
Ask - *re the previous question * do you care about the difference?
Ask them if they ever see themselves making a living.
paulpinfield : Do you mean making a living PodCasting? or ever making a living at anything?
bpende: naughty, naughty, very very naughty.
Ask - What would you do for a hobby if podcasting became your day job?
tinnion - working in an office at nights and weekends?
A conversation that would take almost two and a half Twitter pages nestled in one nice little pull-down.
i was thinking on similar lines just now, bpende. threads are good. on twitter you need to be more conscious of how many msgs your posting
Has Adam Curry become a Podcst trivia question yet?

Ask - who is adam curry?
sorry iconjohn .. that's really the same question as yours
willing to bet that that's the "funny" one Andy referred to at the top... PAB is co-run by
Bob Goyetche
just followed the links and looked at the comments (hehe)
