LOL sea legs, they call it with sailors.
raichuu: I have trouble explaining why I like it so much. :'D
The main theme is badass. The concept of drifting is interesting--it lends to all sorts of delicious AUs. I'm geeking out over the different jaegers.
I've reached the point where we're analyzing stuff like Gipsy having a flat butt and Striker having a huge rack lol. Complete with technical specs and how the features influence their fighting style, of course.
The IMAX version is a lot better because they didn't dub over the bits of Mako's dialogue that were said in Nihonggo.
( Like, if I had to give examples of characters who would be great in a PR AU--Tiger and Barnaby would make interesting drift partners. XD )
but i watched it in imax 3d just today and they dubbed over the nihongo parts...
oh sorry no, at sm north edsa! i guess they show different versions at different theaters?
Oh, maybe. I watched it at MoA. I didn't know that there are other IMAX theaters.
thanks for the link! i've been seeing it around but i've been avoiding spoilers so i haven't been clicking. i can read it now!
Normal 2D / digital / 3D theaters show the dubbed version, I think.
sm cinema has a few imax theaters, but the moa one is the best if them, i hear. i would've thought they'd show the same version across all imax theaters, though...
Ohh. It was my first time watching something on IMAX!
:3 I will probably get the DVD when it comes out. There might be extra footage. And the original Japanese bits.
i will too! it's well worth collecting <3
aaaa sketches are so cute!
This is a nice tool for anyone looking to design jaegers for their AUs. Initial loading is slow, though.
( Yes, I have tinkered with it. )
drnolicense: Just curious, Doc, but how much was the ticket fare for that theater with the moving seats?
The movie we watched on IMAX was the Director's Cut, Maman.
That's why the foreign languages weren't dubbed at all.
Ohh the fares are twice the amount here.
XD Well, even better since you didn't have to pay for it hahaha.
No, Maman meant the ticket fees are twice over there.
An ordinary 2DD cinema is about 5usd.
Popcorn/fries/etc is something like 3USD.
My 22oz lemonade is about 2USD.
Awkward working, sorry. XD
