it's a story about a young military leader of Turkey

when a war with a large empire is imminent

and his journey to prevent the country from splitting apart and falling to the military might of the empire

now I really like stories with this kind of political backdrop

but that's just one of the main reasons why this manga is good

the setting and the characters are realistically grounded

and features all sorts of different personalities

you've got your spies, dancers, thieves, princes, kings, etc.

but they're written well enough to make them memorable

also the art is good

there's a wide variety of sprawling cities and looming landscapes

tremendous effort into recreating all sorts of topical dress and outfits

every chapter is pretty much another set of attire

so anyway this is a bad recommendation but read it
