the philippines is actually really cool because it has over 100 languages
i don't mean dialects either. dialects are just variations of a language. i mean LANGUAGES with their own words and grammar.

i think we used to have a lot more languages but then people were forced to give them up because of certain laws in the 80's and they died out 
tagalog has mostly malayo-polynesian roots, but spanish, english and japanese have had a lot of influence because, well, they colonized us. assholes.
MOSTLY SPANISH. there's a joke about how if you took away the spanish language from your house, the only thing left would be "alikabok (dust)". which is true.
