plurking here because she knows better than to post to her blog when she's this angry. dont think "they" would think to track me on twitter but I KNOW plurk is off the radar
i ghost wrote something. it was my pleasure to do so. i wrote it as a first draft, get his ideas, words down on paper so he could edit it, revise it, hone it.
and he did, and i agree with his changes (almost always do). then he sent it out to "others" to review. first to respond did great constructive criticism: pointed out something that was
missing and wrote it up (a sentence to insert) and gave a MUCH better finishing line. perfect. the SECOND to respond.... /me pauses to douse the flames shooting off of me
he says - oh the paragraphs aren't balanced, oh, that one paragraph should skew the other way, oh, make it suggest doing A. but..... not a SINGLE constructive piece of advice on HOW to make those
changes. not a single change in wording, additional sentence, nothing even SPECIFIC in his suggestions. Just a bunch of "oh aren't i so smart to see what's all wrong here". now go and change it.
to me - that kind of response (on a sunday night no less) is geared to (1) show he's working as hard as first responder and (2) is so smart and clever to see all the flaws and has better ideas
Hmmmm I would take his criticism with a grain of salt... every critic uses his own biases based on how THEY write or want to write etc. Too many cooks... is not a good thing. If you pass it off to 10
hugs Thanks GracieKendal I was mostly venting. Once I handed it to the "owner", it's really his decision. It just infuriates me to watch how some of his direct reports act.
