Thank you!
I left a comment about NS length! Basically, it has been four weeks, although part of that has been uncertain extensions that I think might be leaving people up in the air about getting a late start.
(Like, they don't feel confident in the amount of time that's left and they lose drive because of that.)
If we're not getting enough done in four weeks, on the whole, then I think five is a better choice. However...
Yeah, I would agree with that.
That's what I was thinking, if they know they have four weeks to start with, that might make it easier in general. But I get where you're coming from.
some people think 4 is already too long, which is valid, and then some of the reason we're not getting as much done might be the uncertainty about how long the shift will actually be.
So I'm just noting here that I commented on it, because the "more than four weeks" option is super vague and it looks like a bunch of people already voted.
But it is possible that just having four weeks nailed down, instead of "probably four, could be three, IDK, we'll see..." might be more motivating.
(and 5 does feel like a very long time... it's hard to say for sure.)
Maybe with more NPCing, we could have a few scheduled and known-scheduled events in NS? Like to help remind people to get going, because the 1 week radio broadcast went out, etc.
obviously, ICly they'd be flexible like NS announcements are.
That might be worth doing!
Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I also just added an idea for if the mingle log wins.
also, I'm willing to do some minor NPCing, although my schedule continues to be it's busy self, so it'd have to be threads that are OK with one post a day from the NPC.
Which would be that a plurk could go up on the mod account every couple of days and people who left open threads that aren't getting hit could reply to it and that would give people a way to see when
there's new stuff, if they haven't tracked the mingle or etc.
I didn't actually vote for the mingle, but if it wins, I was trying to think of ways to alleviate the concern that posts could be lost in the shuffle.
