I had so much fun and I got a ton of screen time. Oh, and I also got to throw cupcakes at Mindy Kaling. In one shot I got her in the leg, lol.
They didn't tell us when the air date will be but it should be pretty easy to spot in an episode guide somewhere, maybe in the next couple months. I'll keep an eye out for it and let you guys know.
Aha! I looked up an episode guide and one called "Wedding Crushers" is airing on Nov 26 so that's likely it.
Did you hit the famous "golden time"?
Extras do work long long days, I know. Whew! But hey - cupcakes.
Nice! Sounds like a lot of work, but a lot of fun too!
Woooooow, I just work up. Anyhoo, no I didn't hit golden time, unfortunately. That's only after 16 hours. Maybe someday.
I only even know about Golden Time because that's how Nichelle Nichols made more as a day player than she would have on the contract they wouldn't give her the first season of TOS
Yeeeaaaaah, it's amazing. For those who don't know, golden time is if you're still working after 16 hours you get paid your daily rate. As non-union mine is $64.
If I worked an 18 hour day I'd make $312.
So if anyone ever asks me if I can work longer my answer is always YES! Well, unless of course I have an obligation the next day that would conflict.
Shatner always did his closeups at the end of the day, so Roddenberry made sure Nichols always had lines during them, or was sitting in a position where here elbow needed to be in the shot
So she usually ended up staying into golden time
Roddenberry was a ahead of his time. I hadn't heard that before, that's cool of him.
She told us about it when she was at Fan Expo a few years ago. He also got all his friends to CONVENIENTLY need a day player on the exact days that they were filming away missions so she wasn't working
