Thank you! Really all it needs now is the trim and the bling.

And now, photos of me in the dress.

The bling will wrap around the bodice and make it fitted so it won't be so empire-y.

I love it! I really do. I can't wait to see the finished result.

...how's it stay up?

Very neat! Also, perhaps a bit late, but to make sure such closures don't "open up", you can put a little modesty panel on the side with the loops.

But if you have something wrapping around, it may not be needed. Overall: excellent work! You just need wings and a flower crown to be a fae queen! :-))

Lovely!

Tanarian, haha! Underneath the chiffon is a couple fitted layers of satin with boning and interfacing and the whole nine yards. It's very structured and fits quite snugly even though it doesn't look it.

StereoNacht Way ahead of you. I've already got the panel made, I just need to attach it.

Nice! :-D
Gorgeous. And I hope Michael doesn't see these plurks!

Haha, Michael and I live together. It's kind of hard to keep him from seeing my dress while I work on it for hours on end. Besides, it's not bad luck for the groom to see the dress itself. Just to see the bride

in her dress and made up, hair done, etc... right before the wedding.

But we may have to skip that tradition anyway due to limited light after the ceremony for photos and such.

Ohhh you know I never kinda put those together (groom can't see bride before wedding in dress vs. Can't see dress before the wedding)
I'm a bit superstitious lol

It's simply gorgeous Gen! I love the detailing on the sleeves, very princess like. ^_^
ahhhh that's so beautiful!
also one thing we did to save on light and time was to take the photos with the parties separate before the ceremony (bride with her fam and bridesmaids, groom with his bros and fam) and then save the all
together shots for afterward

My sis did pics before her ceremony, so she could spend time with the guests. The photographer caught the moment my BIL saw her 1st time in her dress.

We did most of our pictures before the ceremony for sheer practicality

The moden Catholic ceremony encourages the bride and groom to walk in together anyway

BackAgain, that's actually exactly what we're going to do. We'd like to preserve the tradition so that's our best bet.
It also works b/c otherwise the guests have to wait ages at the reception hall
