This is the baby imp that quantumvelvet sold me today. He's midnight iri/midnight stripes/obsidian underbelly.

Around the same time I bought a girl imp in the AH: She is obsidian/obsidian/midnight underbelly. Eventually I'll probably put iri on her too.

I know monochrome darks are a cliche but darned if they don't make a ton of money. This is my money-earning pair so that I can buy more dragons in the pretty colors that I like versus current trends.

Their babies will always either be obsidian or midnight and the chance of a monochrome is very good. Chance of iri and stripes, and always underbelly.

Yes, I love the effects of the alternate colored underbelly on them both. It's rather striking, especially the obsidian against the iri midnight on the boy.

what color combinations have yuo seen that you like? :: curious ::

I haven't actually seen any, really. The tiger and iridescent skins are nice; shimmer and stripes are kinda pretty; underbelly and circuits would be nice if not overused.

Of the dragons, I find most of them a bit funny-looking. Sorry.

Of the ones I've seen, the Fae and the Pearlcatchers, and maybe the Spirals, look like "real dragons" to me.

For colours, I'd like stark black, set off with bright-bright-bright red, and aqua shades. Maybe some metallics. Don't like the look of the jewel-encrusted, though.

Umpteen shades of grey, with really bright eyes would also be cool ....

Maybe. But I know I'd only be in the whole dragon thing as a magpie, and I'm not sure I can justify the time.

The eyes depend on which flight, so you could maybe go shopping specifically for Plague and Lightning dragons.

Blade, between various Plurkers you know, I think we have all the flights covered, so you can pretty much shop for eyes at will. Most of us can host a nest for you for a particular effect attempt, too!
