I legit had no idea it was going to be that bad.
I mean, I expected high and low points... but MY GOD.
In some ways, this is even worse than the back alley abortion that was THE DARK IS RISING.
ps I have had an abortion, so don't get on my case about saying that.
oh my god, how can it be worse than the dark is rising
that movie offended me on so many levels
But yeah, TDiR was awful, but it was never going to be good.
IT JUST NEVER HAD A CHANCE.
Haha, just ANOTHER CASE OF COMPLETE AND RECKLESS DISREGARD FOR THE ORIGINAL NARRATIVE.
I get it. I am not stupid. I understand that an adaptation cannot be a MOVIE of the BOOK. It's just not practical.
But you could at least maybe keep the themes as presented in the narrative. And the characterizations.
For Fuck's Sake. Wiser heads warned me! And they were right!
AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO FARAMIR, AND TO ELROND, AND TO THE ENTS, I NEVER SHOULD HAVE TRUSTED YOU.
Peter Jackson. From out the Door of Night through the Wall of Worlds and into the Timeless Void, I STAB AT THEE.
i don't know if i'm just that feverish or if you're just that funny j but i am giggling like an idiot on my couch
The BEST decisions made in that film were to let Lee Pace chow the fuck down on all that Woodland scenery, BECAUSE HE WAS MAGNIFICENT-- and to cast Stephen Fry as the Master of Laketown. BECAUSE ONCE AGAIN...
blizzardseason: Hahaha, oh you poor thing! It's probably a bit of both. ;3 Go ahead! Giggle all you want if it makes you feel better! AT LEAST MY PAIN WILL SERVE A PURPOSE.
Seriously, challengers who think this is in any way an acceptable film... I don't know what to tell you.
It had it's moments, few though they were. That's all I'll grant you.
I AM SAYING THESE THINGS IN A HUMOROUS WAY, BUT I AM LEGIT UPSET.
I grew up on this shit. I'm one of those annoying fuckers who reads the Silmarillion for Fun.
I have a tattoo of Mallorn Leaves and a word in Quenya.
