[pkmn] So I just got a Luxio from wonder trade with awesome egg moves and I noticed that whoever bred him used those little icons (the circle and such) and I was wondering if people are using that to mark max
IVs?
and if so I wonder if they are marking them in order of the stats cause that would be cool if I just got an Adamant 4 IV Luxio for nothing
i'm not sure, i just use mine to mark trades, babies, and hms
I honestly dont use them and this isnt the first pokemon I've seen that had this
but I know so little about EV/IV maxing that Im not sure if this is a trend or just...someone being bored
if nothing else I know Adamant is a good Nature and he has Fire/Ice/Lightning Fang and Quick attack as attacks so im good with those xD
adamant is decreased sp.atk and increased atk, so it's good for luxi
the equivalent for a sp.atk-centered pokemon is modest
like evs you can train through super training or battling, super training is better if you want something specific and there are berries you can use to lower specific evs

i've only just started actually paying attention to them now and the only berries i'm growing are the ones that lower sp.atk and atk
all I use it for is to get evo stones...which I think im done with now
ivs are like...inherited through breeding i think, so if you breed one with good ivs wit another with good ivs, the baby has a chance at good ivs
I know that much about IVs but the last time I tried to calculate them out it was just...to much math cause apparently you need to know their EVs as well if you dont have a high level pokemon?
its much easier just capturing all the pokemon than min/maxing xD
yeah, which is why that's been my main focus
though super training does graph out evs, but idk how to measure ivs
apparently the easiest way is if you have a lvl 100 pokemon you subtract its EVs and base stats
and whats left is IVs
the hard part is...knowing those base stats and EVs first

i know there are programs that measure it during a trade, i've seen a friend use one
and i wonder if the judge in kiloude isn't related to ivs

but he isnt like super specific? like if you have max ivs I think he says their perfect but then the other ivs are broken into ranges for each of his phrases

i know my gardevoir was bred 4v and he just talks about how good her stats are
i got her from an iv breeder
like that one program confirmed her perfect in hp, sp.atk, sp.def, and speed, he just goes "oh but this one's good as well, and this one's just as good"
