so bad for my coworkers. They came into work yesterday at 6 AM, not expected to leave until tomorrow morning. We can't leave until a new shift comes, because otherwise we're abandoning patients.

My poor Will is stuck downtown too. Not sure when he'll be able to come home. At least I'm getting some knitting done.

It is so awful. I feel for everyone stuck at work or out in the cold. This hit way too fast!

They told us as late as Tuesday morning that it would be a light dusting, less than an inch, and that it wouldn't stick. We can handle that, but Birmingham can't do this kind of snow with our infrastructure

None of the south can deal with what they got. Patience is about the only thing you can practice at this point. Even if they had known exactly what they were getting, there is a limit to their resources.
