reds are like ambers, but hoppier. I like ambers though.

I know - I'm not a huge fan of over-hoppy tasting beers. :-)

I am totally not. But I have a very strong malty Belgian that I am bottling Sunday. Maybe some hops would be OK, if not too many.

I don't enjoy the odd tang of most of the Belgian's I've tasted. I can't put a finger on it; the closest I can come is they taste like dandelions to me.

you guyses. It seems like y'all favor a lighter beer for Spring. That makes it hard to make a lighter beer for Summer.

a fan of ambers and nut brown ales year-round, and a huge fan of fruit infusions - lemon, blackberry, orange - for summer. (mmm)

I was looking for a finished beer, but this recipe shows great promise. I wish we were at a point where we could do home-brewing again.

Raspberry Brown by Lost Coast Brewery is the finished product I was referencing.

Samuel Smith has some great beers too. For inspiration's sake, of course.

heylisa: thanks. In a month or two I'm going to do a light lager with an eye towards a shandy.
