First, I tried getting elf_chan to play the black prerel pack, while I went green, both due to the possible gods. We tried getting her to play UB, since Fated Infatuation and Archetype - no good. Next, ...

... we tried UG because she also got the green prerel card, but no good as well. She ended up playing RG in the last two rounds, though red was kind of underpowered - she played better there. I went RG splash

... a plains for Anax & Cymede and a swamp (and the RB temple) for spider. I actually made a few heads turn when I noticed I was playing all four basics and immediately screamed "Chromanticore", twice.

We ended up playing against the same three guys, with same results, 1-2, and then played against each other in round four :/ Our three prize packs had Whims of the Fates (which I opened) and two Fated Inf (her)

Hmmm, elf_chan also got a Firedrinker Satyr and a Pyxis of Pandemonium, and I had a Fated Retribution. We felt the format was boring but we played the creature/monster colors. I thought she didn't like...

oh, one of the guys we fought opened Xenagos PW and Elspeth. Along with the counts-creatures-and-auras bestow guy. I had to kill Xenagos in both games, then got blown out buy a white rare in both games.

Looking through, I see I also had Courser and Mistcutter, which I played, and Gift of Immortality. elf_chan had a Swan Song and Fate Unraveller. Just the blue and red archetypes between us.

Other guy who beat us had the blue and white archetypes.
