I really really want a cintiq 24" ... I used to use an intuous all the time but it broke. the diff between cintiq and a normal tablet.. is the hand eye coordination..

i drool over cintiq's but i have a regular intuos manga and before that i had a bamboo fun. tablets take a little to get used to BUT you will be able to do so much more than you can with a mouse.

and yeah as was said above. a regular tablet you'll have to look at your screen while you draw, cintiq you can look down at what you're drawing.

That's why I want the Cintiq, I think the disconnect on an ordinary tablet would be too hard to get used to. So you guys think the Cintiq would be a wise investment?

if you think you will put it to a lot of use? definitely.

i've been using a tablet since 2004 for drawing digitally and i could never go back to a mouse

I think I'd use it and be more productive, the lack of precision with a mouse drives me batty at times.

i had the bamboo fun for years.. just got the intuos manga a couple of weeks ago.. pressure sensitivity actually works.. which really makes me happy.. gonna save up for a cintiq one of these days

The Cintiq is going to kill my savings if I get it, which is why I wanted to get opinions on it before I did that. I have some money I got for Xmas put away and was going to add that to savings to afford it.

I use the Bamboo Create from Wacom and I don't know how I lived without it honestly. Opens up a whole new world of creating and is very user friendly!

So I am going to buy the Cintiq, but was wondering if anyone knew of a good deal on them somewhere? I live in the US if that helps.

the resale value of an unwanted cintiq is on par with the price of a new one.. (not much diff) so its actually better to get a new one and have it properly warranteed.
