My top choice would be Space 1999, which has had several attempts to relaunch as a new series, including this...

I remember my 10 year old self was fascinated by the lady with the braided eyebrows who could change into different creatures, often scary. I forget what her name was.

Maya, I think. She was my favorite!

I loved most of those shows. Particulary Logan's Run and the bionic man. there was another one, Sliders? that i followed religiously. But it might not have been the 70s, 80s maybe.

BryonyConstantine: I loved Maya. I loved Maya more than I loved Spock.

I always perked up when Maya was in an episode. Human-looking but not quite!

nickolamartynov: Actually Sliders ran from 1995-2000. I had to look that up though, I would have guessed it as an 80's show.

magzkam: Considering the eyebrows, I'm sure they were thinking of Spock when they created Maya.

Wow, I didn't realize it was that recent. Thanks for looking it up, Ken.

nickolamartynov: No problem. We watched it for the first season or two as I recall and liked it.

It seems to me it only lasted a couple of seasons.

Oh wait, you said it ran 5 years. Actually that's when my marriage fell apart, so no wonder I don't remember the last few. lol

I think that would count as a valid distraction. (LOL)

We bought Quark on DVD when it came out a couple years ago and it was fun.
