OH WAIT THAT WASN'T ACTUALLY THE FIRST TIME I was sitting around thinkgin about it and I realized that the first time I actually met him was when my car battery died

because I JUST got the car a week before that and it'd been my first time driving at night, so when I left the car, I forgot to turn the headlights off

and then I came back and my car wouldn't start

and he happened to have jumper cables and be nearby so THAT'S WHY I DIDN'T IGNORE HIM XD
