I really dislike doing scenes in chat, whether Aim or gchat

I prefer posts or emails

but this guy was all, hey, we should have ties!

and wanted to do a scene and it doesn't hurt me much to go along, so sure, why not

and then we start the scene,a nd I have my charcater show up, and now she's in trouble for not calling ahead?

he chose the locationa nd the setting for the scene

why is it my responsibility?

he's the one who is bored at work

he's the one who wants us to do a scene, even though it's seriously hard to justify my charcater being there

he really doesn't need ot make it harder

I find google docs also works well. But... Ugh.

it's just super annoying because it doesn't make sense for my character to do this way

it's a four hour drive to where the other character is and Lady Red is super schedualed

she wouldn't take that much time to visit someone without making prior arrangements

Ugh.

and she wouldn't enter another's territory without prior permission

and if she was going to be in the area, she'd have made arrangements to visit with her family there, not just with this random guy

the best i can figure is that the player is not aware that my character is in Bloomington, not Terre Haute

so it's all just super frustrating because I don't want to ignore the other player, but he's making this so much harder than it has to be and it's so much harder for me

it really don't like doing 'random scenes' anyway

and I don't like the speed expected of chat based scenes

it's this akward kind of 'come hang out with me'

there's no structure or reason for the interaction

but when you have to travel that far and take up that much time, you have to have a reason
