Did they need to skip the fight in Hawaii? It'd set-up the tenor of the rematch in SF. Also, how'd he get to the female before the male reappeared? And his scales didn't light up in last blast
I guess the US troops didn't get the memo of don't get in the way. Also, the clockwork was set for 90 minutes, so everything including the five-mile freefall happened in an hour. Time wonked there
Setting up the freefall is what took the most time I think, but same issue: Cranston didn't have to die, he was the best human in the film, and yeah, show the Hawaii fight please.
If you don't consider what as left out, sure - which includes pithier "bought the airline" level quips from Ken Watanabe, who I suspect was there to make the lead actor look good, by which I mean Godzilla
