Bought a new mattress set recently. One of those very expensive ones from Mattress Firm, paying it off over a year. I knew I wasn't sleeping well on the old one, but man what a difference this makes.

It is a hybrid mattress, coils/foam. Much more soft than before.

We've had ours for 15 years... since Select Comfort. The only downside is the foam supports tend to get worn out over time, but the warranty covers that for a small amount.
Yeah but I am thinking of the entry level one.. mattress only is $699. I know I should spend more for the quality but yeah...
After my first night sleeping on it, trust me, spend more for the quality. Remember, this is roughly a ten year investment for your well being here.
I think I spent around $700 on the down payment, got a mattress, two super nice pillows, and a mattress cover. I will now be paying about $140/month for the next year.

I prefer to spend time in bed as opposed to a car, so I'd consider it a worthy investment
Yeah, the total for everything was just shy of $2400, but yes it is a far better investment than a car currently.
