in fairness sa #1, babae ang voice actresses nila pareho.
in retrospect, I really love the asspull explanation na "sa mundo ng mga tao, babae ako. Dito, tawagin niyo akong Dennis." And then never spoke about it again.
with regards to Diamos, the first question that popped to mind is "papaano naglalakad si Daimos kung nakaupo si Richard?"
oh God, that number 1, hahahaha!!
I think the reason behind Sailor Moon was pretty much "it's magic"
oh gods, that #8 is such a CLASSIC!
for #7, baka naman kasi limited ang budget at manpower so once a week lang makapag-produce ng robot ang mga Brahmin / Bozanian / Neo Empire / etc
and then there's #1
I think Mazinger and Getta Robo were two series na nakita kong more than one monster ang nilalabas.
Voltes V did have an episode where they made 2 robots in one ep, and Daimos' pilot episode had a lot of robots, though they ain't as powerful as the others
also, kinilaw na magikarp
I think a better question regarding mecha is why the bad guys almost never try interrupting the combination sequence.
Well, I'm glad my 8List has engendered discussion. LOL.
ninjapeps: true enough, but there are cases that they interrupt the transformation before it even started (Daimos) and there was that 2-part episode in Voltes V
neonkenji21: yes, and then they don't do it again, ever. at least GaoGaiGar justifies it by creating a barrier and Getter Robo transformations are just shown in slow motion.
di naman sa iyo yan a. Kay Janus Dosequis Harvey yan, you two-faced liar.
LOL. Janus Dosequis Harvey. You couldn't make a more blatant pen name if you tried.
you know, I didn't actually read the name. I just saw that it started with a J.
I think there was someone who said, "the transformation is done in a flash, it is just 'slowed down' so kids can see it," or some stuff like that
deym, why am I defending them transformation sequences
hindi naman sila tulad ng sentai at space sheriff na mayroong disclaimer na "electro plate is equipped at 1/30 of a second. let's see that again in slow motion."
Hey, if the transformation sequence is as hot as Sailor Mars's, I would stop anyone who tried to interrupt it.
mistervader: masyado nang bata ang mga sailor senshi para sa iyo.
there was at least one episode where the Voltes V sequence was interrupted.
I remember the Volt-In sequence did get interrupted. It worked so well! How did they resolve that?
was that when they did that spin transformation thing or was that a different episode? all I remember was that they were fighting a robot catfish.
They spun around to distract the monster and prevent him from disturbing them then did the volt-in sequence. The device disrupting them was on top of the robot catfish's head.
You would think future Beast Fighters would have that device as standard issue from that point on.
those bad guys tend to not be too big on the whole "improve on a good plan" thing. starting from scratch and not learning from their mistakes is more their speed.
The only one I can think of that kept an improved design would be Daimos. After the first one, ALL of them needed to have a freezer blast + fire blizzard combo to weaken them for the death blow.
mid-season upgrade is a standard thing, though.
