I know a little prayer chapel that got a new neighbour once. They built a Satanist shrine with lots of flames and satanic imagery. Nobody gave 'em any attention and they moved after a month or so.

BryonyConstantine: Oh geez. I have no probs with anyone having any build they want but at least have stuff like that on a sim that has other stuff similar on it!

I've got a small plot on SkyBeam. It's fairly flexible with build rules but you have to keep your build or rezzed items reasonably in keeping with the area and not annoy the neighbours.

BryonyConstantine: Yes the covenant here says much the same thing, but if they approved the build as she said they did I guess the covenant isn't worth shizz.

So they can sidestep covenant rules if the landowner is their BFF.. sigh
