Airedine: Just growing pains, I don't understand uving in maya at all
I can help if you need it
I can help too, I'm still a noob tho
like no matter how many times I redo the tutorials I just, i can't remember the steps, and I am not good at puzzles so uv in general has always been hard for me <_> I am not real sure anyone can help with that
I think it's one of those things where unless you just "get" how to unwrap something it will always be difficult.
I always go to create uv's based on camera
en mark my seams, separate the shells and unfold
I'm having the same trouble with zbrush... but maya's my bottom bitch. :| You know zbrush? We can swap for a while.
Best way to do it is make a bunch of different coloured lamberts, select faces that you want to be different parts of an object (like front and back, inside front, inside back of a shirt)
then select the faces by right clicking the colour-set you want and yeah. UV based on camera
It's best to UV before you get too high poly, too.
that is all i am working with
it shouldnt be that hard >_<
I am just so use to blender
But if everything isn't straight it wont texture properly... like patterns wont line up
Ok i am giving it a go Q_Q
Awww Sands...why you always so nice.
You can do eeeeeet Ada!!!!
Sands saved the day again, huh?
I feel that I will be learning stitching in the morning to fix those edges
Sands: I will definitely take a look!
Thank you ALL for the help, there are no adequate words for how much I really really appreciate it!
