so, a few months ago, i started up online commissions because my parents wouldn't let me get a real damn job.
i didn't have a credit card, they wont let me, so i got an unverified paypal.
i cant even verify my paypal with my debit card because they couldn't be assed to make it mine. it's technically my dad's.
so, ok, making money. i was really happy for a while because i FINALLY have my own money where i can spend for whatever i want
i couldn't transfer the funds to my debit card. so i bought things online.
but when they arrived, i didn't realize i'd have to pay tax at the post office, so i was surprised when the notice arrived.
i asked my parents where exactly the post office was, and got yelled at
they attempted to pick it up for me, couldnt get it without proof of purchase, and i got yelled at
also, banned forever from getting things shipped. i am literally not allowed to buy tangible things anymore, because they won't let me go to the post office or leave the house or transfer funds to my debit card
correction: i can buy tangible things, but they have to be in stores, and they have to be from money my parents gave me.
and until im back at college, i have to have them watch me like a hawk for everything i can buy.
i am not allowed to leave the house. i am not allowed to get a job. i am not allowed to buy things online. i am not allowed to express negative opinions or unhappiness regarding my situation.
I'm surprised they even let you go to college
I'm surprised they even let me go to college in another city tbh
i know you mentioned before you saw a doctor, do they have any ideas on how to help get you out of this situation? :/a
I don't think so, they were just the school psychologist. I just need to stick with this for a couple of years and then I'm getting the hell out.
because tough as it is, i live in a third world country and getting a job is near impossible without a college degree
IDK if they do this in countries other than the US, but a medical doctor can be alerted to these things, and actually ask some of the questions they do to check for signs of emotional/physical abuse
I don't know if I can tell an actual MD, and besides it'll be difficult to get a meeting considering they have all my health care IDs, my passport, my birth certificate
Also, I'm not allowed to leave the house
my mom bought 10k glasses. she is ecstatic that they're expensive. my shipments arrived, she came to get them, there's a 1k tax and suddenly money's tight.
they want me to be dependent to them, but they hate it when i ask for things they don't want.
They're treating you like property
i hate this i hate this i hate this
i'm literally the pretty genius daughter they can brag about because oh i got top grades oh i got into the best school in the country oh i'm so bookish and talented blah blah blah
but the minute i want something they disapprove of LIKE, YOU KNOW, THE THINGS I BOUGHT WITH MY "NOT REAL MONEY" suddenly i'm asking for too much
i can't keep living like this
i've been stuck in this house for the 4 months of this summer vacation and i asked them once if i can go to a sleepover with my classmate and it's not allowed
my mom's only getting the two dresses i bought and leaving the others at the post office bc the tax is "too expensive" so i guess that's like
$30 down the drain i guess
i fucking HATE philippine customs okay. also what the FUCK why are they treating you like a prisoner
burn phil customs down and build decent postal services on its ashes
I really really hope you can get out of there because that is fucking messed up as hell. If you can manage to get 450 pesos maybe you can apply for your own unionbank eon card in secret so you can link
it up to your paypal? ALSO Lazada has a paypal payment option so you can buy things from there too
(it's local so no customs bullshit)
unionbank better than BDO??
yes mainly because you can link the card up to paypal and it also acts as a VISA so you can pay for things you want in like, the apple store for your ipod/iphone/ipadwhatever
and it's only a debit card, no credit

!!!!!!! holy shit that's wonderful
i'm going to do that once college starts up
the 350 is a per annum fee and the 100 is for the process of linking it up to paypal
for overseas things, you could also look into johnnyair. I think you can pay them through paypal but don't quote me on that
that's not so bad

would they just take the 350 directly from my account?
yes as long as you keep it loaded with some money they won't deactivate it
OH DAMN THAT IS FANTASTIC
your only hurdle really is to sign up for the EON card itself, two valid IDs I think? Also I found this.
EON Application Form
ill have to somehow get my passport, then :|a

b
Good luck bb I hope your situation improves!
thanks ;u; you've been a great help
Ugh this is awful, I'm sorry :c
