I've heard it called heel

Growing up, in my family, for some reason it was called the "hill top" (top pronounced as 'tap')

Crust is the outside of the bread on all four sides, not just the at the ends of the bread. That's crust on top, on the bottom, on the sides and the ends. Heel is the outside end.

The heel is my favorite part.
