minime is looking for an engagement ring, and we are trying to decide between a stand alone ring, to be replaced by a wedding ring at the time...or a set

what do you have, and why?

i had a family heirloom ring, that got a diamond mounted on it for my engagement ring, and then a simple thin band

i couldn't wear my engagement ring much, because working with food, that's a nope

if i were to do it again, i'd love to have a set next time

Wait, replaced? Why are you replacing an engagement ring with a wedding ring? You usually just wear both.

And, honestly... I would see if they have a cheap loaner to do the proposal with then let he go and pick it out herself. Or see if she has a Pinterest board of what she wants/likes.

I think a set makes more sense, so she can continue to wear the engagement ring after you're married.
