I've been waiting for an institute-wide IC mod post to explain the current state of things to reply to it.

They both feel weirdly guilty about the android they sort of murdered and stuff.

Lloyd is so grateful he wasn't in that position.

He would have all too easily been able to see IRIS as alive.

And he's got issues with killing people who aren't Bad Guys.

It's been a little bit since I wrote the tags, but IIRC L (who is not the most empathetic person) was also like "maybe she's really sentient"

but for him it would have been because he sees the more aware monsters like the Sphinx and stuff as also being victims.

Lloyd just doesn't get technology well enough to understand things like AI. :3

Sure, he met Tabitha, but doesn't mean he understands.

Basically Sechs currently ICly wants to try to get Aigis out of the Institute, but as soon as powers return, they're going to go a-Landel-hunting.

Speaking of which, I'm wondering about how things may end for Landel himself. There's that device to disable him, but if there's anyone who's going to kill or stop him, I think it should be an NPC character.

Idea, though. The reasonable thing to do if there are monsters all over the place everywhere and someone sees the Sphinx is for someone to end up in a fight with it.

To avoid that, it could actually quickly engage with a few people for a tag or two, if someone is up for that? It has the advantage of being able to talk, and it can even tell people

that it... wait, it's a he... he might not exactly be on their side, but he has the same goal.

Or he sneaks up once everyone else is occupied? In any case, I thought it might help and make more sense if he just made his intentions known somehow.

Taura pledged to herself that she'd free the Sphinx. (at some point during this NS I think I misremembered and had Lana thinking about freeing the Sphinx, oops, but I just found the old thread.)

Maybe that thread could split up briefly and Aigis/Sechs could head upstairs and Taura could go talk to the Sphinx and they could meet back together upstairs?
