feeling awesome A review of The Flight of Torque that just came in via email. Feels so amazing to know readers are enjoying the book.

I've had some feedback that's making me reconsider the cover too. A few people have lumped it into the "romance" category, and it's not a romance. There is a romance subplot, but that's not the main story.

I talked to one person who mentioned that he (and two of his friends) had decided not to read the book based on the cover because they thought it was a romance.

It makes me wonder how many others assume the same and give the book a miss when really, with a different cover, it would be one they'd love.

I think what I might do in future is test a bunch of cover mockups and crowdsource my final cover image decision.

probably a good idea. i suspect (but have no proof) that a plain-colored cover might serve you best?
