Things that I'm Too Serious About
latest #11
I once got so frustrated with someone who couldn't identify the difference between Clarendon and Times New Roman that I started insulting them.
This person was a friend.
I also asked them to get early 1900s typefaces and they kept giving me Gothic Type Faces.
Like I was seriously hurting another person's feeling over the fact they weren't very well educated on history and fonts.
When I could have just said "I'll just do it myself."
In other news my rulebook will now feature Futura and Clarendon fonts.
For those that don't know, Clarendon is sort of the "Wild West Looking Newspaper" font and Futura is sort of the big, blocky, 40s lettering.
Since I'm running a sort of mixed Dieselpunk/Steampunk setting, and Clarendon is basically the best Steampunk typeface I know of and Futura just screams Dieselpunk.
I feel like kind of typing all my official documents in Futura for some reason.
