Yeah come on. First rule of good crit, there is no like/dislike unless you can explain why. WHY, VIK? WHY?

Felt very flat. Very nice ending, i appreciate the 'true love' dynamic. I wanted more of a villain.

didn't like it either. I couldn't really handle the cheesiness of the snowman and thought he sort of killed the story.

Vik all I can really say is:

I thought it was a refreshing change. I like the sisterly dynamic and I was surprised by how little Jar-Jar, er, Olaf didn't ruin the movie.

I didn't compose that exactly right lol

yeah i actually was braced for olaf to be SO MUCH WORSE that he ended up not bothering me. my expectations going in were so low that i was pleasantly surprised that it didn't totally suck.

Also, the reindeer should talk, right? But instead, his owner talks for him. Great idea.

I don't think "Frozen" is all that, but I like it.

i didn't love it, but i certainly acknowledge its important place in the disney lineup as far as shift in focus from man-saves-woman to a different concept of true love. also, there was gayness, which is a 1st.

it was a brief, blink-and-you miss-it moment, but the big guy who ran the outfitters where anna and the reindeer guy got some supplies is shown with his family and he's one of two daddies. that's a huge step.

Also, the more I watch it the more I like it. That's a rarity and a good sign.

Wow -- I hadn't noticed that!

so while i don't think it's deserving of the obsessive fandom that seems to have popped up, it is important as far as the evolution of disney and the evolution of modern fairy tales go

Neat slight of hand. They slip that in when we're thinking of something else.

maleficent also subverted the true love thing, but it was months later.

There are lots of neat little touches. When Elsa sees Olaf she looks at her hands as if to say *What am I capable of?*

all that said, i would rather never hear LET IT GO ever ever again, ever. and the incestuous shipping of the sisters on tumblr is super creepy. lol ah, frozen. blarg.

I think the quality of the music is all over the place

"Do You Want to Build a Snowman" is a great situation-and-character builder.

Generally I don't find it a singalong movie.

yet online you can watch either the regular version or the singalong version lol

I was happy with some of it. Not a total loss...but perhaps i just feel the attention has overshadowed the quality.
Maudeline

It's not my kind of animation and I just couldn't get into it. Also I might have been tired of the music before I even saw the movie.
Maudeline

Couldn't get into it as far as the story goes, I mean.

Ophelia wasn't really feeling it either but it's worth another go. She really was attached to Brave.
