Once again, I'm not sure which bothers me first, the ethical wrong or the sheer stupidity.

I 'rented' my car to them because they spent the summer without transportation and they have 4 kids. It was more of a loan than a rental though because I was never quite sure if they could pay me for it.

When they couldn't pay me the $150 a month they originally agreed to... he offered to fix it for me because it's in pretty rough shape. I agreed... but he hasn't finished that either.

Egad.

They've been using it for the last month. The cops showed up saying that my car was spotted with two people... attempting to rob other cars but being scared off. They got my license and came to talk to me.

I'm sorry.

And of course now I can't find the bloody piece of paper with their last name and address on it!! So I gave them the name of the adults, the kids, the school they go to and how to get to their house...

But they can't prove anything at the moment... so tomorrow I need to call them and get my car back and break ties.

Sucks when you try to be nice and things blow up in your face.
