I really want to play this game again

if you've never played Psychonauts, you've never lived

Psychonauts was such a brilliant fucking video game

it's one of those games that I feel like is never really going to expire? like even though it's somewhat old now I still think I would enjoy it just as much as when I first played it

lmfao meat circus is fucking awful alright there's no shame

it doesn't help that you've got a tiny child screaming for so much of that level about "MR. BUN!!!!!"

i fail at the part where you've got to climb up an obstacle course while Raz's father hurls stuff at you

but i do long collecting figments

and arrowheads

and being a giant monster stomping around in a fish's brain

and the colours in the bullrun level

that game is so obnoxiously saturated, i love it

yeah all of the level design is really solid

OH GOSH YES THE SECRET AGENTS IN THE MILKMAN LEVEL

I only found out about the game because I RPed with someone who played Sasha Nein

he and Komui were bffs

haha somehow that doesn't surprise me

I think I played through like half a level and was busy ???ing at it.

it's just this really wonderfully quirky platformer

it wasn't nostalgia for me, since i picked it up when i was 23

I think I just may have fallen off the gaming horse by the point I found it!

the characters click for me, it's got that whole weird quirky world two steps cooler than ours thing foing on

solid characters, really good writing, fun twists on gameplay, hella unique levels

just a well-executed package i feel

i have a very narrow list of games i enjoy playing

once you get to a certain point in the game, a lot of the levels reflect a character's personal psyche and you help them battle with their personal demons

a few final fantasies, psychonauts and minecraft

collecting and adventuring!
