I....seriously do not understand her sewing style

like....there's just stuff pinned everywhere

and the lining is partially sewn in but not in any places where it's useful???

I'm so???

I mean I haven't exactly learned a textbook sewing style myself since I'm pretty sure my mum is self taught and I emulate her style (..well partially)

I'm pretty sure alot of the things Julia did with these pieces are due to various fashion courses and traditional costume construction methods but they just don'ttttt make sennnnnseeee

I'm so glad I never took a course like this...could you imagine having a tutor peering over your shoulder telling you off for not tacking everything first
