Costigan's, without fail, is "Do you want him to chop me up and feed me to the poor, huh? Is that what you want?" I can't help it. ;_;
Hayley's tends to be more "What kind of person did she find out you were, Jeff?" or "Your honesty would be mucho appreciated" or "I meant to be like, so sophisticated when we met."
If being fake. If being sincere, it's more like "What, you love nature, thus you must be a nice guy?" or "The pedophiles, that's who. ... It's just so easy to blame a kid, isn't it?"
I've got characters I do that with. If I have a voice in my head for them, that voice is always sort of playing in the background whenever I tag.
Amaraq: yeah. It's weird for me playing book characters because I'm so used to hearing the voice.
I'm so sad, he never knows what to say to get her to stay.

What a dummy.
But if he really thinks she doesn't like him or he's making her uncomfortable, he's not going to keep hounding her. He's an awkward doofus, but not a total jerk
I have a cheat with Skul. There's an officially sanctioned audio interview for him. :3
right now I'm torn on whether he'd actually go to her place to try to give her back the radio, or if he'd leave the radio and gadgets for her in her office/lab at SI
Amaraq: Haha, nice! That's how I felt when Hunger Games movie came out. Finally had a voice for Peeta. xD Felt like cheating.
that's how i felt when thg first came out too... oh look, here's jlaw, voice for katniss
Oh yeah I do that with the ones I have stuff for!
thedarkfields That's what I'm not sure about. On the one hand, he doesn't want to be an asshole who keeps harassing her when she wants nothing to do with him
but on the other hand, she did TELL him to bring it back to her, and he does still have the impulse to want to try and fix things
Technically she never said to leave her alone. Just that she had to go.
if he does show up, he's still not going to push things unless she initiates a conversation, probably
This situation is actually similar in a lot of ways to what happened with Whitney in the show, when he Dun Goofed big time and she gave him the cold shoulder
He feels bad, and he'd like to fix things, but if he thinks she doesn't want to, he's not going to force it
He'll just... hang around in the background making sad puppy eyes whenever they run into each other
Hayley's torn because, on principle, she's against genocide.. but she can sort of see how it was justified? So that sort of confuses her.
And now lacking anyone to talk it out with, she's just not sure.
Tbh she'd probs trust him more if she knew about Gene, but then he'd have lied via omission by not telling her before, so.
"on principle, she's against genocide" xD gosh Hayley, such a totally unreasonable stance, jeez
Welllll more than the average person?
Not like "oh he should probs go to jail" more like "I should probs manipulative him through psychological torture to kill himself"
but maybe he can get away with it
Yeah, if this had come up earlier she'd have heard all about Gene, and not in a good way
But since they started working their ~*~issues~*~ out he's been a lot more reluctant to, well, air all Gene's dirty laundry without his consent
She still doesn't like the mystery person, but also gets that it really is much like when she attacked Supes.
it certainly wouldn't be implausible for him to slip up and reveal that the Mystery Person is Gene or at least someone on the turtle
but if she pressed him on it he'd clam up say he really can't give her any more details without Gene's consent
now, whether that would make things better, or worse....
She's p hypocritical, so worse.
so many damaged hypocritical teenagers on this turtle
i love it
where is this thread going down, my ears are burning and I demand links
here warning for angry teenagers yelling at each other
yes do bring up gene's past as an abuse victim, that'll get hayley on his metaphorical side for sure
that's not even extrapolating. that is straight-up on-screen canon.
he did mean it metaphorically, it just also happens to be, uh, pretty literal, too
this is a kids' show
