it wasn't too bad after all

I actually networked!

although we had to do this stupid exercise where we picked three cards with topics and talked about how they related to our practise/personal lives

and it was all stuff like "renewable energy" and "equal rights" and things that no matter what you pick are going to end up being very political

some people wheedled their way out of it w/o getting too political

but I ended up on a mini rant about the diminishment of the arts in education/the devaluation of skilled labour due to classism and whoops

(except it sounded way less intelligent because I cannot do public speaking.... much less public speaking about politically charged subjects /cries (
