[work] Today was Annie, Beyond the Lights - which everyone should see holy crap, and Before I Go To Sleep. Also I was ~given permission~ to have an opinion from a group of passholes.
The passholes all hated Birdman because they're not the sharpest and don't understand nuance at all. I said I loved it. So they were like "oh it's okay to have an opinion that disagrees" and I was like
Uh-oh. An opinion concerning what?
"I know" and they were like "no, it's okay" and I was like "...thanksbye"

At least I got a good chuckle out of the irony of the movie commenting on how people just want action and not movies that are philosophical and wax poetic for people to.. complain that it was too weird.
