Theory I already saw last week, but it was just as beautiful. Felt a little longer this time.
Laggies I also saw before, but back at Sundance and I was distracted by it being the premiere (aka most cast/crew there), so nice to watch it again. Not quite as good as I remember, but still fun.
Sam Rockwell is just too great.
Interstellar I won't even. Rest assured, it's nothing like what you expect - even if you don't expect anything - and it's completely different than anything else Nolan has done before.
Except the dead wife/girlfriend. That trope continues.
Press were grumpy today. First film started late and the third was no guests allowed, so there was lots of needless whining.
Which means I'm exhausted and am just going to cherry pick a few tags before bed. Dentist appt in the morning.
omg i'm like 10x more excited for interstellar now... friday afternoon can't come quickly enough
It's.. idk. Keep your expectations in check? It's so different that I think some peoples' responses suffered by expecting too much. It definitely has flaws and is, without question, NOT my favorite Nolan. But
it's epic, in every sense. It's an experience.
I think it might be our generation's 2001.
it sounds like he did what he set out to do with his inspiration by 2001, then... that movie is definitely something you experience
Interstellar is three hours long and that's really making me question going to see it. Think about my bladder for once, Nolan!
Of course if it really is our 2001 I want to be able to say "I saw that in the cinema, you whippersnappers"
yeah i really want to see interstellar because it looks really fascinating? but 3 hours...
The thing is. People keep saying omg it's 3 hours.. but then I realized that Dark Knight was like 2hrs, 40min and this one is 2hrs, 50min.. so it's not really as big of a jump as people think?
(Don't get me wrong, I was one of those people until someone pointed it out to me)
Also.. you only feel it in the middle of the movie. The last hour flies by.
i thought TDK was too long. guess i will with this one too!
It is long. As mentioned, it's an experience. You either sign up for it or you don't and I don't think there's anything wrong with either option, personally.
I think the only sad thing will be people who watch it at home on their laptops.
And pause every few minutes
i'm so glad i splurged for IMAX
that's why i wanna see it in theaters! cause space needs a movie screen.
Sadly, the nearest IMAX is in another country.
They're also showing it on film. I bet it would be cool to see in 70mm.
