I'd suggest CoS but you'd have to decide if that's too fast
It's a 3:1 day IC to OOC ratio, I think that's reasonably paced? Seconded, btw.
Yes we would be happy to see you in CoS again!
I'm glad to hear the game is still going. It's been what, 6 months since I stopped playing?
I'll have to look at it and think of what I want to play. I know that it would have to be someone different than before
I still have the game bookmarked
I have a character I've been having a hard time getting into in Accord (because the game is way too big and fast for me) that might do really well at CoS
I love the character but rarely play her, and she certainly has the potential for a high darkness factor
what would you'all think of a police psychiatrist and consultant who can see ghosts and deathstains because she has bound herself to a death god of righteous vengance?
She's a torn reaper out of geist who was murdered by one of her patience on a violent rampage and was brought back to life by The Betrayed in order to protect the innocent and punish the guilty
except The Betrayed no longer considers anyone innocent and the two of them have had to work out an arrangement so that she kills a certain kind of person on a regular basis
I would like to read this book. /flees to actual sleep now though
I finally bought it. I think it is my favorite of all the NWoD books
The problem I've been having in Accord is that since killing in Accord makes the bad guys stronger, and because there are better investigators, the only role my character has is shrink
but the mechanics of the game mean that she can only have 4 patients a month and she needs to meet with them several months in order to remove derangements
and the other players are more interested in being batshit crazy than in having their characters actually get help, or they want to do really really long rp scenes and I can't rp being a doctor like that
so she gets regulated to the 'healer' category which doesn't explore her as a character at all
Erik would be all FOR a consultant like that.
her deathy magic makes it so she can do things like manipulate people's emotions and control ghosts, she can tell, just by looking, how someone died
she can see places where people have died and she can see on someone how much death they have inflicted on others
and she can do neat stuff, like, if she sets herself on fire she can astrally project
she can use a mirror someone has looked into in order to scry on them, she can use a pen they have written with to write them a psychic message
they get the widest range of powers with the least restrictions, they have no real 'weakness' like vampires do, and all of them willingly bound themselves to their ghost, althoughs ome more willing than others
and my charcater never really has to worry about running out of her power source, plasm, because she has the ability to burn from within and transmute health levels into plasm
the only challenge, mechanically, in a game like CoS would be if she dies
because geists come back from the dead anyway, but with a price
geists can be brought back up to a number of times based on their morality score, so usually 7, but each time they come back, their maximum score is reduced by 1
and their relationship between the deathgod and the host gets stressed until eventually, after the second to last death, the two are in such conflict that neither is in control for more than a few moments
and when ever they get brought back to life, some random person dies, and the first thing the geist sees is how that person died
another fun fact, since geists are the reapers and the monitors of the boundary between the living and the dead, they are the only system in WoD where cold blooded murder is not a morality sin
In the Accord game that sucks, because killing stuff just makes the bad guys stronger
