I think there's some cheating mechanisms in how NaNoWriMo counts the words you submit. Whenever I use a word count site, it always goes down by a couple of 100 words.
Like.. look. On the Nanowrimo site I have 17,953 words by their standards.
On the word count site I use? 17,792.
I always select every word in the word document -- even the 2 line aforword I have just THERE. Yet...
some of my words get eated by the wordcouunter sute.
iunno, maybe it's not counting what it doesn't recognize while NaNoWriMo just shrugs it off?
Like all the stuff I exhaderate for a better effect.
