[Plurk poll] I have a top whose upper bust area (classy above the bra line up and around the shoulders) is mesh. For the bra: straps or no straps?

no straps if you can, but it won't look terrible if you have to wear straps

It's a very thin mesh on a sweater, so classy top I intend to use for work. Normally I default strapless when unsure, but my strapless isn't super comfortable, so figured I'd ask peeps who might know better.

(and I know showing straps has mysteriously become more trendy)

It isn't a big deal if you show straps. I hate strapless bras lol they just fall down

I have something similar I think? And I usually go strapless since it doesn't break the line the mesh is supposed to establish?

idk to me it looks aesthetically strange but I wouldn't judge a stranger for doing it

usually idgaf about bra straps bc strapless bras don't always... work....for me.......
I've never been able to find a strapless bra that actually works, so I just have to settle for wearing a bra that has straps that coordinate with the shirt :|

I finally found a strapless that actually works, so I'm lucky there. :3

I actually think exposed bra straps look perfectly fine! I would say it's entirely dependent on your workplace's rules for exposed bra straps

I know some work places can be kind of fussy about things like that

I actually understand what you mean. I have a dress like that, and I haven't yet worn it because I don't like the look of the bra strap showing, and I don't have a good strapless...

Another option if you don't like the straps breaking up the line of the top would be a near-to-skin colored bra

Which would minimize the impact of the bra strap while still being more comfy.

I don't mind my strapless that much. It's more a question of tacky versus totally fine. Which I think plurk has mostly answered. :3

And my work is complicated because I could probably get away with yoga pants and a t shirt for a day without anyone saying anything but I_

I like bra straps that show, idk why. But I also stopped wearing bras a while ago, which is also potentially an option if you want a third route XD

purple_drake: Unfortunately my boobs are too big for me to be comfortable with that option. xD. But I like your outside the box thinking.
