Doesn't the idea that we can download and/or watch movie trailers without being in a movie theatre seem kind of weird?

O brave new world!

And then we're forced to go back to the theatre to see the movie...

But in the meantime you can break that trailer down frame by frame.

At least, I understand that there are people who do that (blush)

I've never been able to quite understand people who arrange their arrival at the cinema so as to avoid the trailers… I really look forward to seeing them on the big screen

The trailers for "Star Wars Episode I" are brilliant. If the move fulfilled half the promise of the trailers it would have been great.

Trailers in the theater annoy me because it's like paying for advertisements. I don't mind them at home where I choose.

Trailers are part of the movie to me. More than the coke trivia or random movie star facts.

We don't need to agree. I don't get there late though, I sit through it.

I'm a fan of audience interaction during trailers. Particularly when the entire audience audibly agrees a movie sucks.

I'm glad Polly responded here. I feel like she's a movie trailer junky and host trailer watching parties and AND might have a top 10 trailer list lurking somewhere.

I posted that "Phantom Menace" trailer because it includes the theater audience reaction.

Pixar used to make interesting trailers that were made up entirely of material that did not appear in the movies being advertised.

I'd have to think about a top-ten list. The teaser and trailer for "The Phantom Menace" would both make that list.

Try to put all knowledge of the film out of your mind when watching these trailers.

The original teaser for Tim Burton's 1989 "Batman" was highly influential and probably marked the first time that people bought movie tickets just to see a trailer.

It was mostly just a collection of images concluding with Michael Keaton saying "I

I'd like to know who the genius was at Disney who realized that the best trailer for "The Lion King" was simply the entire opening musical number.

There's a trailer for "Saawariya" that convinced me to watch it but I can't find it...

I still have a sour memory of the Stuart Little trailer, which was almost entirely unrelated to the film, but added insult to injury by running the trailer scenes in an end-credits montage :-(

I'm just watching the bootleg trailer. I enjoy the community reaction.
