I'm watching this documentary about privacy and the amount of info this detective is able to find just by googling someone is insane.
Everything, starting from birth records, seems to be accessible by the public.
I think in order to be like that, you'd have to be born in one of those communes that are off the grid and never really leave
I watched a show once about people who lived in a place like that in Missouri and it was REALLY interesting
But if you ever even so much as go to see a doctor, you're out there
They would almost have to be born and raised in a self contained community. And live out their life there. Imo.
yes. it's nearly impossible now with deeds being public record though so you can't own a house, own a landline or anything else.
truthfully, let me revisit - i think no at 100 percent because many sites now do associates so if your relative has a house (deed) and a landline or credit and is in public records, you are in public records
so nope. changed my mind. There's a possibility if you are like 100 percent living off the grid with no electricity or anything - like my uncle, he has done it for years!
there was a 'hermit' in Maine race try who was basically for I think 30 years. he made the news.
but that asshole has lived in a forest preserve since 1987, and he's on the internet for a picture from the 50s!!! so even HE is on the internet
i'm a master at googling and all I've found is that one picture so even the real hermits get historical stuff on the net
I've seen TV shows where ppl go off the grid in Alaska. One couple did it but then she got pregnant and had to travel for miles to see the obstetrician. They're on TV, too, so millions of folks know them.
