i think some of the writing is rly good compared to the other idol animes? like the realistic hardships and stuff of a really, really small unknown company producing a shmuck of idols

but some of it is also like ???? u could do better...

animation is also Not The Best at all so if that'd bother you there's that factor

they focus a lot on the center girl mayu & her drama which is you know, i guess expected for a low-budget anime but ~u~ i still love it

i like the songs tho, and the rival idol group is a reference to akb

if you decide to watch wug, you'll have to watch the wug movie which is the start of the series...

you could start with episode 1 but the movie is where it picks up from

it's not a huge reference-- really it's jsut like, there's a bunch of members, the girls are trained like robots, and drama about quitting & leaving and ~fiascos~ but i think
