so my friends all decided that we're going to fanime again

which means i gotta get to wooooork on my cosplay

because i am so notoriously lazy (and cheap) that at fanime last year, i was literally sewing up the last piece of my cosplay in the hotel room at 5 am

and i didn't bring my machine so i was hand-sewing all of it. This cannot happen again lmao i caused myself so much pain

i mean i have like 4 months but that is not as much time as i always assume it is, so the week before the con I'm running around piecing parts together and trying to make glue dry faster than it can

but i think I'll do the captain america dress i've been wanting to do for a while

and maybe hawkeye? lmao i love teen!hawkeye cosplays so much but idk

noooo i lied i'm going to do the disney princess dress i wanted to do last year

no i lied again, I'm finishing the partner cosplay with my friend that i started 3 lifetimes ago

yeah, i actually really love going to cons and cosplaying, it's a lot of fun! but prep is a big ball of stress haha

It is a lot of work, but most of me complaining is just me being lazy XD

It really is so much fun though, and it feels really good to have hard work noticeably pay off.

It takes a lot of practice if you don't sew much, but yeah, you should definitely do it! Then you can say "yeah, i made this" and let people shower you in compliments

I have friends who do it a lot, and it always looks really good. I think they're going to Katsukon?

Fun! I'm on the other side of the country, so my "big" con is usually Fanimecon.
