I have also found it helpful to sign up for a class. The trick is they are training YOU to be consistent and predictable for the dog since the dog pretty much WANTS to make you happy.

So the class helps to make you learn the stuff and practice it by making you accountable for doing the homework!

Oh, I know it's about training me.. I think I'm going to keep doing the fostering thing for a while. It's getting me dogified without feeling like I'm trying to replace her.

It was definitely one of my better ideas. I'm kinda surprised more people don't do it. Most of the fostering information out there is for people who also have their own dogs.
